Covey discusses four basic areas of life. Many years ago I attended a workshop by Lewis Timberlake who articulated several more areas and referred to them as the “wheels  of life”. To this day, I use that approach to determine my life priorities.

My distinct “wheels” are:

  1. Spiritual
  2. Family
  3. Physical
  4. Mental
  5. Emotional
  6. Social
  7. Hobbies/Recreation
  8. Community
  9. Professional
