“Book of Awesome” … really?

The Book of Awesome, Neil Parsica, G.P. Putnam’s Sons, 2010 is a best seller. How come?

I skimmed through it and was amazed at what can be sold and gain considerable recognition and profit. For example:

“If you enjoy the simple moments in your life, you will be happier.”

No kidding! I think I already learned that from my one year old grandson, who obviously has learned it as well.

But on second thought, this brilliant common sense quote could sometimes be wrong. This book was one of the simplest reads I’ve ever had … and it did not make me happier.

What does it tells us about it’s readers? What motivates them? How are they spending their time? How are they improving?

Enough of this … on to something more useful.
